VANESSA ROUSH, BS, FDN-P
Since I was a child, I have struggled with stomach issues, headaches, debilitating migraines, hormonal imbalances, multiple sensitivities, and fatigue. In college I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, food allergies and had a bacterial infection that caused stomach ulcers. In 2008, I went gluten and dairy free which helped some of my stomach and headache issues, but I continued to research to learn more about how to heal myself. (Health and self help books are my favorite genre) On the outside I looked fine, but continued to have symptoms that compounded as the years went on. I saw multiple providers that would tell me that my labs looked fine or in range, even though I struggled with so many symptoms that made daily living hard. After my 4th child, my symptoms got worse (I had kidney stones, my anxiety worsened, and I was weighed down by bouts of depression). Even though I lived a fairly healthy lifestyle, I was missing how to put the pieces together to build health. I continued to research as several of my children experienced health challenges that were not helped by conventional methods. In my research I found Functional Diagnostic Nutrition (FDN), an opt-in model of drugless healthcare that utilizes functional labs to identify obstacles and healing opportunities to help return your body to homeostasis and health. This is done through a highly personalized step by step method of treating your body as a whole. Through functional lab testing, I finally found answers as to why I felt so bad for so long.As I have been practicing FDN, I no longer meet the diagnostic criteria for hypothyroidism (something I was on medication for, for 15 years), my hormones are starting to balance, I no longer have migraines, and the best part is I actually have energy to pursue things that I enjoy. I am passionate about helping you solve your health issues.
If Iām not helping others regain their health, you can find me doing home projects, gardening, oil painting, spending time outdoors, and baking healthy Gluten and Dairy Free treats.
